Spirale Nắng

Three spiral shells sit at the front of this necklace, matched and set side by side. Each coils to a tight centre point — cream-white, flecked with rust and orange, the markings running along the whorls like a little sundial. They're found along the central Vietnamese coast around Khánh Hòa, washed up on the sand near Nha Trang.

The rest of the strand is small pale shells, knotted close together so they sit snug around the neck and lead the eye down to the three spirals at the centre.

The shells are gathered, not made, so the speckling and the size of each spiral vary — yours won't look quite like any other.
